The 4S conference is a meeting forum for the small satellite operators and users organised by CNES and ESA.
In this year the main topic of the conference is a key question of this area:
Have we reached the conditions for small satellites to spread vastly and rapidly, similarly to the consumer products?
Are Small Sats ‘going viral’?
Several space related application and services together with the space research activities are realised within big satellite missions with long development timeline and a high level of cost.
However nowadays the technology miniaturisation allowing to provide these services using small satellites mission, lowering the cost and development time, thus opening the window for future satellite constellations, such as CROSS network.
In the frame of the 4S conference the RADCUBE demonstration mission and the visioned CROSS network also will be introduced, which is well fitting into the main topics of the conference itself.
